Parent before Friend.

How important is it for a parent to be a parent and less of a friend? Some parents feel the need that they have to be a friend to their child in order to have them like them. First off, we have friends we don’t need you as one too. It is fine if you would like to have an open relationship with where we can talk to you about stuff. However, letting us do whatever it is we want with out you telling us no will eventually lead us to losing all respect for you in many ways. Personally, it shows me that you don’ t care about me any more. What we need are parents. Someone that is going to be there and take an interest in our life, school, and hobbies. To support us and help us to achieve our goals. Try harder to be a parent than friend.
