Yes we have designed our very own rocking horse that will be in our family for generations to come and has been made for us, by hand, by the famous Stevenson Brothers rocking horse makers. With the help of the brilliant design tool on their website, we have created an amazing horse which will fit perfectly in the playroom.
The website was very simple to use and you have a large range of options from three different sizes to start your initial order, you then move onto a choice of 10 different finishes from dapple grey to walnut.
Following this you have four choices of saddle leather (we chose tan), along with a variety of blanket colours to choose from and accompanying trim.
The all-important finishing touches include embroidery on the blanket and a commemorative plaque in which you have a lot of space so we have added a very personal message which we hope will be read by future generations of our family, even after we have gone.
With a six week waiting time, which I must stay is very reasonable giving the workmanship that goes into making this piece, we are looking forward to our new arrival. Also as time goes by and ‘Rosie’ becomes more a part of our little family, l am sure he will be the best present ever! I can’t wait to see my little girl’s face light up when she opens her present...although I’m sure I will be more excited to give it to her.
