Book Review: The Golden Goose of Los Angeles by Travis Adams Irish

Author: Travis Adams Irish
Genre: Thriller/Suspense

Buy: Amazon

Book Summary: Do you love Thrillers? Take a wild ride with: danger, intrigue, betrayal, and the dark exploration of self- jaw-dropping revelations, and intense characters.

This new, fast-paced story may be too much for some to handle, as it leaves many feeling: on edge, shocked, and haunted by the nature of humanity.

Rory Chambers is an extreme sports expert who helps people to partake in every adrenaline inducing experience that California has to offer. However, his life becomes complicated when it is discovered that, due to a special protein produced by his body, his blood can cure a variety of terminal illnesses, including deadly cancers, and pathogens such as HIV.

When the medical experts report their inability to create a vaccine artificially, Rory finds that there is no shortage of rich and powerful people who are desperate for a second chance... Desperate enough to carve it straight from his body.

Regardless of what his career in extreme sports has taught Rory about fear; nothing can prepare him for the unpredictable ride, and lascivious betrayals that are borne by the human psyche.

When his blood is valued at over $500,000 a pint, and so many dying people are looking for another chance; how will he keep the world from draining him of everything?

Book Review:
This is a well written and fully developed story. The story moves at a fast pace and keeps the reader engaged by using present tense; it's like you are being talked to directly. The main character's, Rick Chambers, blood can cure the incurable such as cancer and HIV which causes everyone to want some of him. There is plenty of detail and action. The book ends leaving the reader wanting more.

I highly recommend this book and can't wait for the next one.

About Author:
I was born in Bountiful, Utah in 1979. My passion for writing began with Jacque Pennington, who taught me English as parts of speech in Middle School. By the age of seventeen, I had written my first full length feature film script. During that same time, I went on to win editor's choice awards for my poetry and was invited to the National Poet's Symposium in Washington DC at the age of eighteen.
I wrote another full length feature film at the age of eighteen and started writing novels shortly thereafter. As I have a very discerning taste, many of my first novels were cast into the trash as they didn't have enough clout to hold my interest.
In 2005 I started attending the University of Phoenix. I was fortunate enough to be mentored by Don Miles during that time. My career as an Internet Marketing Manager took off around this time and the novel Isiah's Skirmish was put on hold. In 2012, I was prompted to work extremely hard and finish the remaining 170 pages of Isiah's Skirmish as it had been near completion for many years.
I have strong respect for the works of: Michael Chrichton and John Grisham. My favorite Hollywood Films are: Spy Game, Crazy Stupid Love, The Usual Suspects, The Dark Knight, End of Watch, and The Incredibles. On Television, I enjoy: The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Dexter, and Modern Family.
My current project is a Political Suspense Thriller and I hope you join me for the ride. It should be out by the Fall of 2013.
