Ingredients:
- 500ml Sauternes wine
- 300g granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon saffron threads
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon edible gold flakes
Instructions:
In a saucepan, combine the Sauternes wine and saffron threads
Let it steep for 30 minutes to infuse the flavors
After steeping, add the granulated sugar and lemon juice to the saucepan
Place the saucepan over low heat and stir until the sugar has completely dissolved
Increase the heat to medium-high and bring the mixture to a boil
Once it boils, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until the jam thickens and reaches the desired consistency
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool slightly
While the jam is still warm, stir in the edible gold flakes, distributing them evenly
Pour the jam into sterilized jars and seal them tightly
Allow the jam to cool to room temperature before storing it in the refrigerator
